About Lifejackets

Life jackets are manufactured so that if you were to fall overboard, you would be kept afloat, with your airways raised out of the water, regardless of consciousness. Life jackets come in three types 100N, which is designed for somebody who could be waiting for rescue, but is in calm, sheltered conditions. 150N is for more general use, most likely found at seaside’s and general offshore and rough weather duties, but its self-righting mechanics may be impacted if you were to wear a 150N with heavy or waterproof clothing, and 275N is recommended for offshore cruising, and is designed to be combined with heavier clothing, and for extreme conditions.
