The Carhartt Men's Sandstone Active Jacket is constructed from hardwearing 12 oz, 100% cotton sandstone duck, and micro-sanded to perfection for a softer, smoother finish. Which is not to say the jacket isn't prepared for the harshest conditions your boss - or the weather - can dish out. Its integrated hood is amply lined in polyester quilted flannel, as is the body, so heat has no way to escape. The Carhartt Men's Sandstone Active Jacket also eliminates pesky draughts by trapping coveted body heat via its elasticated cuffs and hem, while shaking hands can gain respite in the stuffy confines of the double front warmer pockets. If you want to maximise these deep pockets solely for heating your hands - and let's face it, who would blame you? - the jacket also throws up a dyad of patch pockets on the inside, one of which has a hook and loop closure while the other zips shut. The work fit includes a special underarm construction to allow for an extended range of movement. The drawstring front closure of the hood, meanwhile, should prevent your face being the bulkhead that the wind implodes upon. You might not lose it, but you should certainly use it.
