Made of 9 oz, 100% cotton canvas and incorporating 4.5 oz, 100% cotton plaid lining, it can just as easily be worn on its own, or as a heat base beneath layers of sweatshirts or waterproofs. In the warm summer months, when cool winds sometimes pack a chill in their shimmery sub-frames, the Jacket Shirt eliminates the need for cumbrous rain jackets or padded winter coats. This shirt is pre-washed for a soft, smooth finish, and provides storage space in the form of two chest pockets - one bearing the Carhartt logo, and the other sealable by a snap closure flap. A dyad of side pockets, meanwhile, ensure hands are kept warm, and added strength is achieved by stern rivet reinforcements in each pocket. Finished with seven-snap front closures and a posterior yoke with centred box pleat, this garment offers both warmth and panache.
